Kersti Kägi

Kersti is one of the partners of Palladium Attorneys at Law and she mainly advises clients in administrative and civil law. Kersti began her professional career as a lawyer in 1997 in the area of tax dispute resolution, and this still forms an important element of her activities today. In addition to tax proceedings, she is also engaged in other administrative law issues such as environment, construction and planning, consumer protection and agricultural subsidies.

Administrative matters have become a favourite field for Kersti, but she also has a long-term experience in civil law. The main field of activities in which Kersti provides everyday legal assistance for her clients and helps them resolve legal disputes is the law of obligations, including contract law, employment law, family law, matters relating to the health services, inheritance law and property law. In tandem with providing everyday legal assistance to her clients, Kersti represents clients in administrative and civil court proceedings, as well as misdemeanour and criminal matters in the economic field.

In recent years, Kersti has spent a significant portion of her time as a legal adviser in insolvency cases, in which she works alongside valued trustees in bankruptcy. As a specialist in the field of insolvency law, Kersti was a Member of the Committee of Insolvency Law of the Estonian Bar Association for six years.

As a lecturer, Kersti has given lectures in tax law for members of the Taxpayers’ Union and in continuing education for small business managers and accountants at the University of Technology of Tallinn.

In 2016, Kersti was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Tallinn Fire Fighting Society for successfully representing a client.

Kersti uses every moment free from her legal work to read, communicate with friends, spend time in nature and enjoy sports.
